Bridal Shower Favor

Hi Ladies,

Do you guys know of inexpensive bridal shower favors?

I wanted to make a donation for our bridal shower...but FH thinks its stupid and that donations are really for weddings....would it look stupid?? Or would guests not appreciate it at a shower??

I love those little heart measuring spoons and I think they're like 2 bucks.

And personally I wouldn't do a donation at a shower...

How come? Because people expect to get an actual favor when they leave right? Hmmm thats what FH thinks too...

I did a donation favor at my shower because I was told by our families that people want an actual favor at a wedding more so than a shower.

Either way, at my shower we did a donation in memory of my stepfather and then attached the card to little jars and put m&ms in them.. It turned out really cute IMO but I guess it really wound up being a favor and donation in one!

Hmm....tricky.

Personally, I've never been to a shower that did a donation, but I don't necessarily think it's a bad idea. I'm sitting here with a canister of coffee that has been on my desk since January, so I'm certainly part of the 'never uses the favors' group.

My favors are going to be the towel cakes, which I think come out to 3.95 or 4 each...don't know if thats the price point you want though.

We didnt want to spend too much on the shower because its going to be a backyard shower anyway. FH and I will be chipping in again which is fine.... but its getting costly because we are also paying for the rehearsal dinner and the whole wedding So.... we didnt want to pay more than $2.00 for a favor. Is there a place where I can get a cookie in the shape of like a wedding cake as a favor? Does any bakery do this?

why not get tiny gift bags and put a candle in there. and print up lables and stck them on the bag? go to the dolar store and get candles...

gift bags u can buy online..but again, the dollar store prob 2 or 4 for a dollar.. favors wont cost more than 1.50

Nail polish from the 99cents store, wrap it up and you are good to go. My sis had that for her shower and it was a hit.

I've been to a couple of weddings with donation favors--and am definitely in the 'don't take home the favor' camp. I think a lot of people would MUCH rather see that 'gift' go to good use!!!

My mom bought these for my shower.. and IMO, they are prob perfect for a backyard shower... They double as a CP and a favor (and werent expensive either)

Wanderfuls

ETA: They were a big hit... everyone was asking about them and one guest evenook an extire extra cp home to show to recommend to someone

Oh yeah, and everyone also used them in the toilet paper game as their boquet of flowers... lol

At my shower, the favors were pashminas rolled up and tied with a bow. Everyone got to choose their own color.

I thought it was an awesome idea! One of my MOH thought of it, and bought them in the city one day.
