What type of food is good to cater for a backyard Bridal Shower? Or what other types of food are good to have?

So far Im thinking To cater- Penne Vodka
Maybe order a hero Half American Half Italian

Macaroni Salad?

I dont even know how much trays of stuff I need to cater for about 50 people

Any help would be great.. Thanks!!!

Yea, I ditto on BBQ! There are a few companies that will come and set up everything and clean up for a BBQ.

FH's fire dept uses this one guy all the time. i can try to find out his info for you if you are interested.

i went to a backyard shower, trying to remember what we had.

I say get like a tray of penne like you said, and a tray of maybe chicken franchaise or chicken parm, something to go along with it. Maybe get wraps, and some apps before

if i was doing a backyard shower i would do some kind of theme for food if you want italian try to make it cute with home style italian food rather than just a mix of stuff people don't want penne alla vodka and macaroni salad on the same plate it just wont taste good together. Even though its a buffet imagine you were serving it all on one plate

Maybe the heros that have grilled chicken, fresh mozzarella, and roasted red peppers? Love that...and trays of penne ala vodka, chicken or shrimp francese, sausage and peppers, eggplant parm or rollentini...that's the kind of stuff that FH's family gets for outdoor parties, and it's always a big hit.

I think I am having a backyard shower and I really want BBQ but, dont want to put anyone out to cook it. So I was hoping for heros.... amr/ital and the cutlet one with potatoe, mac and cole salads. And hopefully the girls will make wings, veggies with dip, some pasta dish and whatever else. plus apps. I dont want them to go crazy or spend crazy money either.

we did a backyard bbq eparty and used Famous Dave's as the caterers. The food was amazing and they came and set everything up. The prices were pretty good too- about $11 pp and we had soo much food left over.

Oh wow $11 per person thats great!!! Do you mind me asking what came included? I just told FH and he said 'ITS SOOOOO GOOD! I have to take you there' lol so he def thinks that is a good idea. I went onto their website, but it doesnt say whats included.
