ok so moms getting married in november, its obv. her 2nd time around- and im unsure what to do about a bridal shower- i dont think a traditional bridal shower is appropriate for her 2nd time around but am i wrong?
i debated doing a dinner of some sort with like her closest friends and family- my mother also owns a curves gym and i know i have to incorporate her members some how, so i thought of throwing a party in the gym that way all of her 200 members had a chance to be a part of it if they wanted too-- i was thikning more casual- heros and things like that because there is so many ppl- that way everyone can be there if they want and i dnt have to hear that i left anyone out?
IMO, the same rules should apply to our Shower rules, whoever is invited to the shower should be invited to the ceremony and reception. The last link has some other links for theme parties. My cousin was married for the second time, her first one resolved in 2 months (unfortunately) but her second marriage she did not have a shower, and her wedding was a destination wedding. So each person is different. IMO, have a family and close friend party celebrating her.

Re: bridal shower for 2nd wedding HELPP
i agree, i wouldnt do a traditional shower
maybe a lingerie party? a honeymoon themed party? spa party? wine and cheese party?
or some other type of low keyed theme
i wouldnt have a traditional shower where she registers and gets tons of household gifts etc...id do more of a, 'lets celebrate bc Jane is getting married'
Or 'lets pamper Jane before her big day' if you did a spa theme
