I am hosting a bridal shower in a few weeks and was wondering if anyone had ideas on games to play while the bride opens her gifts, but not bridal bingo cause EVERYONE does that!!!
Thanks ladies!

Re: Bridal Shower games???
I just had my shower and my girls made a bingo game. They made cards with different gifts on it and when someone got BINGO they got a candle or something like that. Everyone had a ball.

Re: Bridal Shower games???
Have I got some games for you.... First I did a search on the net for bridal shower games, came up withsome good ones. 1. Toss the bo-K. Had the bride toss the Bo-K. Then everyone else had to try to get as close to her toss as possible. 2. Pass the Teddy. I put a teddy in a box. Then its like a musical chairs game. I used it to clean up from lunch. Whoever had the box when I finished clearing the table had to go into the bathroom and put it on. Acutally there was a little teddy bear in the box- it was a real hoot. People didn't want to model a real teddy. A new must for every shower. Got everyone involved. 3. TP Bride: Get one 'bride' who models a dress that 2 dressmakers make out of toilet paper. My mom made the teams- she mixed ages so peopl got to meet. Everyone had a great time- it was really fun. Time it for 3-5 mins depending how howyou think its going and it takes about 2-3 rolls per team. I really hate showers when you just sit there and watch the bride open presents for 4 hours. I think my sis shower ROCKED b/c people were up. Also, not sure where you are having it buy Stop and Shop had great food platters.

Re: Bridal Shower games???
You can set a timer and if the timer goes off when the bride is opening your gift you get a prize

Re: Bridal Shower games???
This isn't a game...just something cute to do.
At the shower, every guest was given a scrapbook page to decorate. There were a ton of stickers on the tables (you can get the stickers at Michael's) to use to decorate the page. Then, the bridal party went around with one of those mini polaroids and took pictures of each guest for them to put on their page. Of course, at the end of the shower, all the pages were collected and put into a book. It was a really great idea. It kept everyone busy and the bride loved it!

Re: Bridal Shower games???
I thought this was a cute idea to keep people busy before the bride gets there or as they are walking in...what do you think? http://wedding.weddingchannel.com/catalog/product_detail.asp?pn=1&pageid=shower_shop&uid=195123670&pid=307003933
I think the timer idea is good as well...I think it depends on the personality of the girl the shower is for

Re: Bridal Shower games???
We did this at my friend's shower and I thought this was neat.
This is 'How Well Do You Know Your Future Husband?' game. Come up with a list of questions about the future husband for the bride to answer. Get the answers from the FH beforehand. Before the bride comes, give one question to each of the guests (we had them on index cards with the answers below them). When the bride opens a gift, whoever gave her the gift will read her question and the bride will have to answer. I don't think there was a prize, but it was a good game.
Examples of questions:
What is FH's favorite sports team? What is the best present you gave your FH? What is FH's favorite TV show? What is the one food item that FH will absolutely refuse to eat?

Re: Bridal Shower games???
in addition to julybaby's suggestion- they also asked FH questions about me before my shower and then i answered all the questions to see how well HE knows ME. they also had a 3rd type of questions about me and him- like where was the 1st kiss, where was the 1st date, so on.

Re: Bridal Shower games???
At my best friend's shower, we made up questions about her and her FH. They were meultiple choice, and whoever got the most correct answers got a prize. I t went over very well, and was very funny.

We are having Bridal Word Search for my sisters, along with Brial Bingo. Sorry, but a lot of people enjoy the bridal bingo game.

Re: Bridal Shower games???
These games don't necessarily have to be played while the bride is opening her gifts. It can become very distracting. They should be played during the shower.
For mine some of the games we played were a veil game. Each table got toule material along with decorations and each table made one veil for me. So in the end I modeled about 13 veils because I had 13 tables at the shower and I chose the winning veil and that whole table got prizes. I got some real cute ones.
Then we played the 'Bubble Gum Game' which is the same as the game 'How well do you know your future husband' They asked me a whole bunch of questions about my husband and for each question that I answered wrong I had to put a stick of bubble gum in my mouth. Lets just say that I had about 7 stick of bubble gum in my mouth...LOL
Then another thing we did was raffle off the centerpieces on the tables. I really had a great time at my shower.
