Re: Bridal shower gifts

How about the one with the wine?
A bottle of wine for a different occassion...
1st Anniversary
1st Christmas
1st Baby
and each bottle wrapped with paper that conveys the occassion..like the one for Christmas with red/green paper etc.

ETA>>Ofcourse the bottle that it's intended for the 1st Baby..it's non-alcoholic...(you can buy apple cider).

AtticaQT, how about a seasonal basket(s), honeymoon bag, or you can do a SEXy basket (a did one for a friend of mine and it was done in good taste), pasta basket - you can include a pasta bowl set and box fo pasta with some sauce, etc....you can dress it up like that......or a scrapbook with the accessories to make her own......if she is a good friend of yours, you can go through pics you have together and collect some others from family and friends and create a scrapbook through the years for them (did this for another friend and she LOVED it), a wedding basket which can include toasting flutes, a picture frame, the yankee candle wedding candle, I'm sure you get the idea.....hope this helps

FRESCABRIDE......do you have the wine poem???? I have been looking for something like that and remember someone posted about it but never found it.....

I have it in my home computer. I will post here tomorrow and I will FM you as well just in case. I've seen this in three bridal showers and it's really cute. And there's something that Bride and Groom can enjoy after the wedding.

Re: Bridal shower gifts

I got a friend of mine a 'couples massage' at the spa of the hotel she was staying at for her honeymoon in aruba! It wasn't that expensive, and it was a big hit! Another friend got her a gift certificate to a restaurant on the island (they were going to Aruba). Casually ask her where she's staying and then you can do some investigating! Good luck!

PS - I can't wait for your review & your pics!!! Congratulations!!!

Re: Bridal shower gifts

Here is a funny one.............
This is one you would only send to a friend that has a sense of humor: Pumice stone, toe separator, toenail polish, nail file, foot lotion/cream, toe ring, and a funny note that 'If he's going to make you barefoot & pregnant, at least make him paint your toenails so your feet will look nice'

Or this - will definately get laughs as a goof gift and can create a poem........
Items of necessity that you will need for the first time as a couple: A partial roll of toilet paper (for the first time you run out and need a few sheets), a baggie with a partial bar of soap in it (for the first time you forget to buy soap and just need enough to get a bath), a few Q-tips (for when you run out the first time), a can of soup or other easy to make item (for the first time you burn supper),and a list of the local restaurants and phone numbers (in case you burn the can of soup)

Re: Bridal shower gifts

Here is another I found online...too funny

Here's a joke gift that was a huge hit at a recent shower for a couple on their 2nd marriages. The gift was a decorated toilet plunger complete with a bride and groom cake topper on the top of the handle. Down the side of the handle was inscribed, 'We're so glad you're taking the plunge!' and on the plunger was written, 'Don't let this one go down the toilet.' The laughter didn't stop for several minutes.

Good gift for a hands-on girl:

Fill a tool belt with lubrication, cherries, can of whipped cream, chocolate and paintbrush, a thong, handcuffs, and a deck of 'sex cards' or the travel game of 'Twister'. This appeals to any woman who is crafty, fun, and exciting. And the tool belt comes in handy later too!

Okay, on a more serious note - how about a 'Breakfast in Bed' tray basket......can include a bottle of wine/chapagne, two champagne or wine glasses from their registry - his/her bath robes each rolled/wrapped with ribbon, arrange the gifts on a nice tray and wrap with silver cellaphane paper and add anice white bow. Different, classy, and thoughtful
