I dont know if i would call this creative but perhaps fun and cute...
if a girls has on her registry lets say a rolling pin...you can make her an entire basket related to baking....perhaps a few smaller things, a customized aapron, a cook book, etc....
I did a wine themed basket once...the bride was registered for a wine cooler thing and we got them bottles of wine, the wine holders with the new inital of the last name, wine glasses, some kind of wine book, those cute wine charms...
you could do a basket for the honeymoon...
can you tell im into making themed baskets? lol

we did something like that fomy friend's wedding. My friend and i got her her martini glasses so we made a basket with some bottles of alcohol and then typed up some recipes on cute cards and put that in the basket.
i also saw a candle basket with a letter in it that explained each colored candle was to be lit for something certain like first dinner, after first fight, etc..
i also saw on here someone made up a BBQ gift...like a huge coller filled with outside things for their grill and backyard..thought that was really cool...except if its a winter wedding than that would be hard to find

you could do holiday baskets, christmas decorations, easter decorations/spring decorations, halloween decorations/fall decorations

There's also a really cute poem that goes with the wine basket..you could also do a pasta basket with pasta dishes, server, collander, itaian cookbook, pasta, spices, jars of sauce and a giftcard to an italian restaurant..
