Bridal shower gifts....

If you receive gifts off of your registry to your home, can you open them? I don't know when my shower is and my gf sent me a couple of gifts. She said I wasn't suppose to open them until my shower. But if the shower is a surprise I just keep the gifts in my home? Very confused and kinda made me feel bad that I opened them

That's a good question! Maybe you can give them to a family member or someone in the bridal party to hold onto to bring the day of?

Bridal shower gifts....

I've opened gifts that were sent to my house from the registry. I thought it would be rude if the person thought I opened it and didn't get a thank you. But if they specifically told you not to open it, I guess that is a different story. Some friend of my moms who is attending the shower accidentally sent her gifts to my house instead of hers, and I opened them already, oops!

She did not mean for me to not open them, she thought I was going to wait until my shower. I explained to her that I have no idea when my shower is and I can not just have boxes piled up in the house. She understood but felt bad I already opened them =(

When I registered the girl told me I should put down a different address for those who are going to have the gifts shipped, so I used my FMIL's address this way there is no temptation :)

I'd bring the unopened boxes to the shower and open them at the same time you p[em gifts from people at the shower and just announce the person's name and that they couldn't be there that day.

I had all gifts shipped to my parents house and my mom brought all gifts to the shower for me to open there. Technically you aren't supposed to open them till the shower. My mom kept them hidden from me haha.

I would just make sure to say a thank-you out loud at you shower when you are opening gifts to those people who sent gifts to your house. Therefore they won't feel like their gifts weren't recognized.

The gifts are for you to enjoy! :)

I had things sent to my mother's house so I wouldn't item them. I wanted to open them at my shower. Being it to some ones house for them to bring to the shower for u if u want.....
