Is it customary to give gifts to those who are hosting your bridal shower ? I think so - but what are some things you plan on going ? Thanks !!

Re: Bridal Shower - Gifts for Hostess
Well, I bought corsages for all of my bridesmaids and flowergirls as well as my FMIL and presented them with a card....for my Mom (hostess), I bought her a Coach bag- she loved it.

I have never gotten a gift and was not aware that it was customary to give one.

I don't know if it's customary, but once I was given a small gift for hosting a shower. It was a vera bradley jewelry case.
One of my BM is hosting my shower, and doing the vast majority of the work, I am thinking of getting her and her husband a gift certificate to their favorite restaurant.

I don't believe so. You can get a corsages for them but the party is being thrown in your honor. I have never received anything for hosting a shower nor would I expect anything. Although your idea is very nice and thoughtful so if you would like to give them something do it separate from your shower.

I think it is really nice to get a hostess gift. (and technically any one who hosts any party for you should get a gift)
I was planning on getting them/her/ whoever a gift certificate to a spa for a massage or facial.

Re: Bridal Shower - Gifts for Hostess
Normally I wouldnt expect to give those who plan your bridal shower a gift if they are your bridal party , bc you will be giving them a gift for being in your bridal party anyway and that is generally for thanking them for being in your wedding and for helping plan the pre weddnig festivities like your shower. If someone who is not in your bridal party hosted (and by host I mean involved in planning, paying, or literally having it in their home etc) then I would say that you should at some point after the shower get them a token of thanks.
My shower was planned by my mom and my 2 MOH (my sister in law and future sister in law) and FH's other sister, to some extent.
My sister in law/MOH had the shower at her house, so I felt like it was a very nice gesture which went above and beyond just helping to plan the shower- So I had flowers sent to her home. Once I did that I felt like if i didnt send my FSIL/2nd MOH flowers that would be rude bc although she didnt host it in her home, so its not the same thing, she was very involved in the planning and I still wanted to thank her.
It was a simple but nice gesture that they both appreciated alot.
Then, my other FSIL planned a Jack and JIlly party for us the week after the shower.. sort of a joint bachelor/bachelorette party. She picked the place and sent an evite and so was the hostess for the party-- I sent her flowers as well for organizing it.
I dont have BM's just a group of close friends-- one of which planned a weekend away for our group for this weekend (to Fire Island.. cant wait btw!!! lol) I will be getting her something as well for putting the weekend together.
