Bridal shower gifts sent to home

Bridal shower gifts sent to home

I have a question. I got a package sent to my house from BBB addressed to me, and FH openened it. It was a shower gift off my registry from someone who is attending my shower. It wasn't wrapped.

FH took it out and started playing with the cast iron dutch oven. My mother then tells me I need to take the gift and wrap it and bring it to the shower so I can thank the person. Do I really have to do this? FH and I don't think so, but my mother thinks I should wrap the thing up, haul it to the shower, and open it again. Does that make sense? I think she is crazy.

I dont think that is necessary. Just say a thank you at the bridal shower for all the gifts sent home.

My opinion..

Thats what I said, my mom gets a little crazy sometimes. My FH asked me to post here and see what the LIW girls would do.

A thank you card is good enough.

IMO I would not bring the gift to the shower. Just give a general speech thanking everyone for the presents inclusing the ones you received at home.

So, I got a few gifts sent to my home as well. Most of them were not wrapped except for one. this was from my FMIL's friend so she told my fh not to let me open it that it's for the shower. I don't know how they are going to get it there without me knowing - my shower is 100% a surprise.

I opened all the rest and are already using them.

my mother confiscated all gifts delivered, re-wrapped and brought them to shower. I don't think its necessary but it's nice to open them in front of guests.

They should be friends! Jimmy has my aunt on the phone debating this now.
I told my mom if she really wanted me to, I would bring the box. It's not like I'm not saying thank you, of course I would say thank you. My mothers saying, you need to bring it wrapped up so they know you said thank you!
They shipped it here because they are from Manhattan and don't have a car so it would be a hassle to bring it to my shower.

def do not need to bring it to the shower, the reason the person sent it to your house is prob because they didnt feel like carrying it and plus theres going to be soo many gifts you are going to open

just a thank you card def!!
