ok so i know this is a weird question--but my mom and i were talking yesterday and she was trying to figure out how to budget her money, and the question came up of how much she should spend on a shower and wedding gift for me-and i told her that i really dont know what's normal-any help?
I am not much help here, but I thought (and this is how its done in my family) parents give and pay for stuff in the roam of their possibilities. they check what they can afford and give/pay for that.
i depends on wha she can afford. My mom insisted on paying for my entire shower, some moms do this and some go in with bms and pay equally... some spend more...its what she can afford.
well i guess everyone is different - my parents are giving us 10k for the wedding gift and i have no idea what she will be spending for my shower but she is paying for most of it
I don't think it is a set amount, whatever they can afford.
i told my mom not to get me anything. she is paying for my shower,paid for my dress and half the wedding. she insists on buying me stuff for my shower... but i told her not to. shes def not going to listen.
my moms paying for my shower, and is getting me furniture for our house (when we buy it lol) as her gift
