Initially, I was going to give a list to my mom and a list to FH's mom and ask them to star must invites, circle maybes, and cross out no invites. However, now I'm thinking that I would really like to choose the list and invite those that I have a personal relationship with.
I'm thinking that I will develop the master list, and then just show it to them and ask if there's anyone significant that I forgot.
What are you girls doing/what did you do?

I created a list of people I want there, and those I am obligated to invite. I left off co-workers and GFs of my guy friends. I gave the list to my sister to share with the rest of the bridal party.

I made up my list, based on my side of the people being invited to the wedding and then I asked FMIL for her list

I gave my mom the master guest list, minus the OOT women and a few other people that I don't feel are necessary for the shower (i.e. one of FH's former co-workers - she's invited to the wedding, but she's FH's friend, not really mine - actually I really don't like her, lol).
Then my mom took that list, made some changes, and showed FMIL for any of her changes.

I did what you plan to do. I made a master list and I gave it to my mom to decide on who should stay and be removed and then I gave it to my 2 MOH's because all three ladies will be planning the shower.

i gave my sister a copy of the entire wedding list. she is taking care of everything else. i know the other night she was text-ing with FH for at least an hour discussing 'shower stuff.'

My mom informed me that I have no say in my bridal shower because it's a surprise and she's throwing it with FMIL. I was going to give my guest list but decided to give my mom a list of ALL the woman invited to the wedding and she can pick the list. She knows who I'm close with and who I'm not, and this way when people aren't invited I can blame my mom. Between my mom and bridal party, they should know who I DEF want there. I REALLY wanted a party of about 30-40 woman but mom told me NOT HAPPENING so I told her 'if you want full control, you got it!'

I gave my mom a list of friends and family members that I would like at the shower, both of the FMILs gave her a list of their friends/family
