I'm making the guestlist for my shower to give to my MOH and I'm not sure what to do about FH's family. Most of them live in Quebec and I don't expect them to make a trip down just for my shower. I don't want to insult them by not inviting them, but I don't want to seem like I'm just asking for gifts and being greedy. His family doesn't have big weddings and parties like mine does and I don't know if showers are common for them, so they may not even expect an invite. Should I just include them and let MOH, my mom, and FMIL sort it out? Or should I just give a list of my friends and family here? Thanks.

Re: Bridal Shower Guestlist Help
A lot of FH family lives far away and we decided to just invite everyone. It has worked out fine so far! Actually a suprising amount of people decided to come so you might want to send invites just in case.

Re: Bridal Shower Guestlist Help
I would send them an invitation otherwise they might feel left out. This way you know you invited them and there won't be any hurt feelings.

You risk pissing more people off by not sending them an invite. They def. will not think you are greedy. Let them decline, and they can send a gift if they want.

I think you should just have an invitation sent to them.

I would send the invites........I think that they might feel like you didn't want to include them if you don't

Thanks for the input ladies. I think I'll give them the entire list and let my mom and sister worry about it.

Re: Bridal Shower Guestlist Help
I would definetly invite them, this way you avoid hurting anyone's feelings. When I gave my list to my FH to pass on to my girls I included a couple of people on the list that I knew would not be able to attend my shower. Even though I knew they won't be able to attend I wanted to make sure they were included.

IMO, i think they would be more offended if they weren't invited - keep in mind, even though none of us want to be greedy, most people want to give gifts!

Re: Bridal Shower Guestlist Help
I gave my bridal party a list of all the ladies that are invited to our wedding. I feel that it's just right and proper to include everyone. I don't want any hurt feelings.
