Only $100? Honestly, that is nothing. Im throwing my friends shower and its costing a small fortune. Not sure who is paying for your friends shower but $100 is probably not covering much.

But i would be a little ticked that you were consulted. Although if someone else is footing the bill, and there are a lot of bridesmaids and a busy bride....i could see how it might not be feasible to consult with you first.

I have been in large bridal parties before, and it is very hard to coordinate a day for a shower that everyone is available, especially in the summer. I still think the MOH should have asked you, but she may have been frustrated with trying to coordinate everyone's schedule, and just decided to make a decision on the date herself.

Should I contribute even though I cannot attend?

I think you should, but that's just my opinion. You should definitely talk to the MOH and tell her that you are disappointed that she didn't consult you about the date. She may be able to change it. I had to do that for a bridesmaid in a bridal party I was in.
