Hi all! I've offered to help my future Mother-in-Law with the planning of my fiance's shower. We are looking for a venue that follows a victorian/teaparty-esque theme. The only thing that came to mind was the Three Village Inn which is already booked for our proposed dates. Can anyone who may have already had their shower help with ideas based on your experiences? We are looking to cap the price at about $25-$30/head with between 70 and 100 people invited. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!!

Re: Bridal Shower Help - From Groom
I was looking for something similar for my sister's shower with the same number of guests and for the same price. I did not, however, find anywhere that could really accomodate that many people. Maybe the East Winds because they have that old room that is Victorian themed, but they are 35 a head. I'll keep thinking and get back to you. Oh, what about the Country House in Stony Brook. It's probably expensive, though.

My shower was at La Grange. It was a champagne brunch and I think it cost $40/45 per person. But maybe a tea party would be less $. The staff and food was really good!

Try the Garden Grill in Smithtown... very victorian and they do a lot of showers. The food is fantastic!

Re: Bridal Shower Help - From Groom
All good ideas, thanks brides! The Gatsby was actually suggessted, but they are all booked up on that day already. I will attempt to look into the others. Just a note, we just want the theme to be tea partyish, we plan on havhing it as a brunch/luncheon. THanks so much for your help!! Do you know if price is dependant on Saturday/Sunday affairs?
BTW, yes, I also was surprised that the name groom was available. I tried to keep it generic but that was the first try at a name. Don't tell my fiance' that I've been poking around on here... don't want to give her any ideas about her shower, haha.
Perhpas others will have more ideas, I'll continue to check back.
Thanks, Groom

I went looking at them for our rehersal dinner...pretty location however they wanted 65 bucks for approx 35 people ..then the guy said ok 55
it still seemed like alot...my mom said they were around the same price for the shower (which was approx 65 people)
hope this helps

I second this place!!! If you have enough people, you get the entire upstairs which is private. They have a smaller room downstairs, but aim for the upstairs!

I don't know what the prices are there but that is where my FH proposed and I think it is simply beautiful-definately something to look into!
By the way congrats to your FW lucky woman that you want to be so involved

OMG this place is great! I threw my sisters bridal shower there and EVERYONE loved it! The food is amazing and the service is great as well. It ran me about $25ish per person and they were more than helpful! Irish Coffee Pub

Re: Bridal Shower Help - From Groom
Hi again brides... well, good news, my future mother-in-law found and booked a place today so for now my work here is done... The Maine Maid Inn in Jericho is the place. From what I hear, it sounds ideal and the date worked out perfectly!! I do appreciate all your thoughts and ideas. And also, thanks for your kind words of my involvement. She is to be my wife, so why would I not be involved in things that will bring her happiness?
Some of the girls in her party have already come to me asking my ideas and opinions of bachelorette party thoughts so who knows... I may be probing for some other thoughts and opinions as well based on all your experiences again...
