Some do it like a couple months before. But anyone having their shower just a few days b/f wed?

Nooo.. Showers are typically 2-3 months before the wedding. Let people recoup after giving you a shower gift. Then it wont' feel like they are spending so much money in such a short period of time!!
The bachelorette party can be a few days before the wedding though!!!!

Mine was in October and I'm getting married at the end of February (mom wanted it done before the holidays).

no it will be 2-3 months before. Same reason as wifetobe. It will be too much for some people to spend money of a shower gift and then soon after a wedding gift.

My family threw my shower 2 months before. The last couple of weeks before the wedding were so hectic that Im glad they didnt try to have it for me then or I wouldn't have been calm enough to enjoy it!!
