Bridal Shower in NYC

Ladies, I need your help!

A good friend of mine who now lives in Atlanta with her fiance is coming to town this weekend (we just found out). We want to throw her a bridal shower on Saturday night (really just a dinner with the girls). Her wedding got moved up to July and all her friends are here in NY so I don't think she really had a celebreation with her girls yet and may not get the chance if the wedding is in Atlanta.

Do you have any suggestions of a restaurant in the city? It will probably be about 15-20 of us for dinner on Saturday night.

TIA!!!

For a party that size, you may want to look into the 'Family Style' restaurants which give huge portions, so you can get 5 or 6 entres and everyone can share. Good ones are Carmine's and Tony Dinapoli, but I'm sure there are other ones.

DH and I went to Carmine's for Valentine's Day. We ordred 1 appetizer and 1 entre, we ate till we were full there, and had enough for 2 more dinner servings each during the week!

I would suggest:

Uva on the upper east side-- they have a party room or if you choose to eat in the restaurant, it has a very cool atmosphere

bon gusto on the upper east side-- its a very quant tiny Italian place with great food

rosa mexicana or dos caminos (several NYC locations) are very fun

ninja-- really fun tribeca restaurant where all the waiters are 'ninjas' and do tricks-- its different and kind of hilarious especially with a few drinks in you. Every table has their own little room.

at my old job i used to throw events at a few places including: Django (46th and lex...very good and has a private room)... also in grand central station there is a restaurant called Metrazur on the balcony that is really good, also has a private room if you'd like.

I love Uva and Rosa Mexicano and Otto as well, all are great. Also look into Fig and Olive (uptown is pretty, downtown is more trendy)
