BRIDAL SHOWER INQUIRY!

WHO PAYS FOR THE BRIDAL SHOWER? MOB? OR BRIDESMAIDS?? OR BOTH?? HELP!!! XOXO

Everyone does it differently.

A lot of people think it's the tradition and the responsibility of the MOB to pay, but back int he day this was considered against etiquette as it looked like the family was asking for gifts if the mother threw a party for her own daughter...

But now I think it's more common place for the MOB tot ake care of it... but I've seen girls who had their BM's do it all and girls whose mom tok care of some and the BM's pitched in.

It's really relative to your specific situation.

vereyone does it differenly, theres really no set rule

For mine, my mom is paying. For my FSIL, we (the bridal party) paid for it. It varies.

My mom and sister (MOH) paid for the place and then the girls (BM) paid for decoractions.

although my FMIL wanted to pay but now she's paying for our RD.

My bridesmaids are throwing the shower. I hadn't ever heard of the MOB paying for it till I came to NY! But hey whatever floats your boat... My mom can't afford it so I'm glad my girls offered to cover it!
