Hey new to this board, hope this is the right forum. looking for a place to host around 40 guests. not too pricey. i have alist already of some places and prices. does anyone have any experience with any of them.. Pomodorinos? Milk and Sugar Cafe? The Carraige House? Also, i have prices for those plus one other cheaper place. some people say go the cheaper way its all the same in the end..is this true? or should i opt for the best ambience?

All excellent!!!! I love Milk & Sugar, only due to atmosphere and the food is great as well. Thats more 'my' style, but all very good & great food.

i have called, and they do have an avaialble date. however, they r 8 dollars more per person than some of the other places. ive never done a shower before, so is it worth it ot spend the extra money?

Are you looking just in Suffolk? I think it would depend on the place....maybe with a more inexpensive place, you'd be able to decorate it and make it look nicer.

well, I think what does matter is the quality of food. I am the type of person that cares less about the looks of a room, and more about the food, but everyone is different.
have you check Danfords in Pt Jeff? They just renovated their downstairs restaurant and it looks fantastic.

I'm also an MOH trying to plan a shower and I've found that going to places that have good food are the best bet. You can always decorate the room a little according to the brides taste, or a theme if you are having one! We are probably doing it at a little restaurant in our town that we KNOW has delicious food that our guests will enjoy. HTH!

i am looking in suffolk and eastern nassau. the places i have found are in Bay shore, massapequa, babylon and Seaaford. Like i said ive narrowed it down to thes e four. they start at 16.95 for the cheapest..ambiounce is ehhhh. food is good. they have alittle room in a restauarnt. the prices fgo up to 32.95 for the nicer place. you have the whole restaurant to yourself. food is great. but of course thats double the price. im just trying to figure out if its worth it or if should just go w the more economical place
