My mother has been looking into planning my showe with my MOH (sister) I abrely have any friends on the list it is family and mothers closest friends and FMIL's peeps. My mother is going to be runnign the show and getting $ from my girls but she said I need to cut my list down I understand we can't break the bank but I have like no one on it!!! Why can't my BP step up rather than my mom have to go into the money she is giving us towards the wedding ?! I always go above and beyond for every one, ***??!!
I have to stress this ?! Cmon!

My sister (MOH) is planning mine also with the help of my Mom. I wanted one shower for my side and FH side but my Mom wanted me to cut my FH side to make it cheaper for her. I am upset about it too. Why do Mom's have to make everything so difficult sometimes?

I feel your pain - or rather, felt it. I had all family and mom's friends at my shower. I had TWO friends at my shower out of the 50 people that were there!!!!! Seriously, don't even stress about it. You really don't have time to socialize too much at the shower anyway - people are pulling you in all sorts of directions and you have to sit and open all the presents. Maybe you can go out with your friends for a pre-wedding brunch or something - that way you all get together and you don't have any of the stress from the shower.

I agree with the post above. While it stinks that your mom won't let you have a lot of friends, you honestly wouldn't get to talk to them very much at the shower anyway. You are pulled in all directions on that day, so you're very busy. For me, it kinda felt like a prelude to the wedding! Plus, your whole bridal party will be there to help you out on the day of, so you'll have those friends to hang with with your few spare moments!

I don't have any friends to cut off that's the problem. They are my closest friends and let me say, I don't have that many sad but true hahah. They would all be quite offended if they were cut off the list but also I have been o 2 of their showers I want reimbursment hahah!
