Bridal Shower Registry Question

Should be registering at more than one place?

As of now, we only registered at BBB. But it seems like all the bridal showers I go to the Bride has been registered at at least two places. I really don't want to register anywhere else my BBB registry is already pretty extensive - I can't even think of what else I'd register for elsewhere. I was thinking of putting Gift Cards to Home Goods welcome on the invitation too( I'm kind of obsessed with Home Goods). Do you guys think that is enough or should I create another registry? And if so, any suggestions where?

Thanks!

Bridal Shower Registry Question

We registered at two different places (Macy's & Target) because we felt that Macy's had a lot of the expensive type items that we were looking for (fine china, silverware, etc.) and Target was good for the every day type stuff (Dinner plates, etc) and we were able to find a lot more stuff there that fit our style rather than at BBB.

Personally I'd put together a Home Goods registry, if you like that store so much. It doesn't hurt and guests may wind up just giving you gift cards to HG instead!

Bridal Shower Registry Question

Many people do two but it isn't a you should or shouldn't thing..if you are happy with your registry then it doesn't matter..but two gives people more options and you more options too!!!

We registered at BB&B and Target, also. It makes it easier on your family and friends to have options, I think. And, if you register at more than one place, you can get the best of both worlds!

Re: Bridal Shower Registry Question

i think you should do whatever you want...if you registered for everything you want and it's all at BBB, then thats great! i wish i could find everything i want in one place...i think i'm going to use myregistry.com and pick and choose from multiple stores...plus there is a small place i found out in greenport that imports gorgeous italian ceramic dishes/platters that doesn't have a website but is willing to let me sort of pseudo-register...

Re: Bridal Shower Registry Question

I've seen about half and half with some doing multiple registries and some people not. We did both BBB and Kohl's because I specifically wanted items that only Kohl's carries (Rachel Ray cookware - i love her!) but majority of our items are on BBB. We are also buying a house and need a LOT of household items, so that played a factor in deciding to do 2.

I think you should do whatever is right for you. If you have everything you need at one store then that's ok and easy enough for people to find things and decide what to purchase. If not then a second store will help make it more convenient for some people, but don't do it just do it either. You don't want to end up with gifts you really don't want or need then have the hassle of returning a lot of things.

Bridal Shower Registry Question

At first I only had a BBB registry. We live together in an apartment and have a lot of things, and we won't begin house hunting for another year or two. Then I thought it would be nice to register for a new camera and printer - so I set up a small registry at target. I don't think it's bad to just have one registry though, especially at BBB. They have everything.

Bridal Shower Registry Question

We are going to register at two places as well. When did everyone start making their bridal registry lists? Is it too soon? I don't know when I should start
