Is it wrong of me to expect FMIL to RSVP to my shower? (a yes or a no) - shouldnt my family expect the courtesy of getting a response???
I am obvi assuming she is coming - even though the last time i saw her (christmas) she said 'UGH we have to have a shower for her' (FH emailed her after this happened and told her to shut up and show up when the time comes) so the invite went out and no response yet....
Am i asking to much to want an RSVP?

I don't think it's too much at all! She should RSVP. Not cool. Not cool at all. :(

Re: bridal shower RSVP
what makes matters worse is she keeps telling FH she wants to be included with my family and wants to make sure they dont think poorly of her. Well...it started out when we got engaged FH organized a dinner for both families...the day of the dinner she called and said they could not come. first negative impression on my family. Bc of this, my family has NOT made any effort to invite them over and felt they should extend the invite to meet...well we are still waiting for that. IMO, if she wants to show herself in a positive light...RSVP (via email or phone) and say of course I will be at the shower, and how can i help!!! So now, no RSVP is strike 2! she will not have any respect from my family if she keeps this up and I feel bad for FH bc it puts him in a tough spot....

Re: bridal shower RSVP
do you know about your shower? are you h elping to plan it? If so, you might want to have someone in your family call her and ask her if she is coming since they had not heard from her. I would not personally suggest that you call her or put your FH on the spot either.
