...i need one...i was talking to my best friends mother (I'm the MOH) and we were talking about planning her bridal shower...i said typically girls do luncheons or brunches and she was sort of less then impressed....now besides maybe picking a trendy venue like a winery or a cruise, has anyone had a different bridal shower that was fun and unique? i know some of my friends out of state did 'jack and jills' where it's co-ed, which is cool, but not into the whole buying tickets/raising money thing...

Who is paying? If the brides mother is paying let her chose the spot and then maybe you can help her with the other details.

My FSIL just told me about a shower she went too that was a tea party theme I think, they all had to wear big hats (a la Royal Wedding)! The ladies loved it!!

Re: Bridal Shower Twist
I am having a mad hatters tea party!
i dont know where it is booked since it is a sort-of surprise but I really hope it is at the tea pot in Belmore. They have tea and tea-time snacks. It is a little different from the traditional shower.

Re: Bridal Shower Twist
that sounds adorably cute and fun...but i'm not sure my best friend would enjoy something like that...she's sort of picky...she does like the vineyards and im wondering what kind of parties they do out there...

Re: Bridal Shower Twist
What about a Casino/Vegas theme? This would lend itself to playing games, it would be super fun! You could have each table as a different casino game (texas hold 'em) . You could make the favors a deck of cards and dice. Make custom money with a picture of the bride-to-be, It unlike many shower themes! HTH!!!
