Bridal Shower; Who's Invited??

Bridal Shower; Who's Invited??

I chose a bridal shower location that I fell in love with, and I'm so happy about the decision. However, the room only accomodates 55 people. We're inviting about 225 to the wedding, so obviously many women will not be invited, but how do I narrow it down?

Of course the bridal party, and immediate family members of both me and FH will be invited, but do I sacrifice some of my close friends for some of FH's extended family members?? I really dont want to do that. Since my family is paying for the shower, is it okay for me to invite mostly people from my own side (my friends,my parents friends, and immediate and extended family members) at the expense of some of FIL's friends and extended family members?

Do you have alot of OOT's?? Cause you can count them out right away. I think you should invite who YOU are closest with. It is your day!!!!!

You can do a few things..

take the 55 and make it 65...some wont come...

Dont forget to count yourself and mom ( lol I did in my own headcount!)

You an divide the number and give some to u some to mom and some to FMIL to invite..(altough this wasnt the best idea - i did this for invites and telling them 50 ppl a piece turned into almost 90 a piece!)

make ur list first and then give off to mom and FMIL..

*****or sit down with mom and FMIL and knock out a list together...putting who YOU want invited first!!!

I am not inviting any extended family to the shower or any of my mom's friends from work (who will be invited to the wedding). I would most definetly invite YOUR close friends! It's your shower after all.
