I wasnt planning on having one, but isnt that when you get the gifts from your registry? Is there anything I can do besides have a bridal shower?

no one said you have to have one.....but generally thats when ppl buy the gifts you registered for!!
if they know your not having one, but did register.....they may buy stuff for you anyway.
we didnt have an 'engagement party' but our families all gave us money & gifts.
it really depends on the ppl

I think you should have a bridal shower. I think it is nice. My cousin just had one. You can also do a theme one. Like I did one for my cousin last year the them was things remembered and she got a lot of keepsake things. I love bridal showers.

well usually you dont plan the shower - the bridal party or the mom/mil plans it. You might as well have one so you can get the gifts off your registry!

I would think you should have a bridal shower. It doesn't have to be a big thing, but that is when you will get all o f your gifts you registered for.
