Bridal Showers

For those of you who have a little say in your bridal shower, are you giving restaurant reccommendations?

I was at a christening last night in Elmont at Villa Umberto's and although the food was great it's just a little to far for fh family to travel to. My Mom asked me last night if I had any ideas on where I wanted to have my shower.

Do any of you girls have private room restaurants you could reccommend?

TIA.

Since your family is in Islip, I immediately thought of Irish Cofee Pub. The food there is awesome and the setting would be perfect for a bridal shower, depending on what type of restaurant/food you are looking for.

My family is actually from Seaford, FH's family is from W. Islip but I've heard great things about that place. I always wanted to go there too.

I just saw your post and I was about to make my own regarding the same thing! I am getting married next May but my mom wants to start looking into Bridal Shower venues. I told her I would put together a little do's/don't/wants list :p. She know's how organized and in control I like to be so is totally fine with this. I am wondering if anyone has went to or knows if the prices for an afternoon Bridal Shower for a Saturday or Sunday at for instance the Woodlands or Woodside Acres is out of control compared to other places?

I also saw in Long Island Brides there is a place called the Toy Cottage that looked very quaint and cute! Has anyone gone?

My bridal shower will probably between 50-80 people.

I think it all depends on the month you have it in but I don't think a shower would be near as much as a wedding so it shouldn't be crazy.

maybe something in the middle, like Cafe Symposio in Bellmore, or Piccolo in Bellmore. Both have good food!
