Bridal Showers hmmm...

How many people know about are help planning there bridal shower?

Also whats the average timing for a shower?

I know about my shower and I know what they are planning because they accidentally had me on an email. IT was a bummer. My shower is the 1st week of April and it is from 1PM-5PM.

I know about my shower, although I am not involved in the planning.
My shower is a brunch from 11:30 - 3:30pm.

I know nothing about my shower and thanks to my sister not telling my mom anything, it will be a huge surprise - which is what I really really want

i know when and where my shower is but have no input. Most of my Bm's don't know that I know, but i figured it all out.

Ah.. It seems like I need to be a part of the planning to make sure its nice. My mom feels like she cant do it alone.
So I am doing a bunch of crafts for it.

I guess it doesnt need to be a surprise right?

I know about and I'm sort of helping to plan it--I'm helping select invites, where it's held, and I'll know when it is (because I need to make sure that I don't work that weekend).

Mostly it's because my MOH is in charge and my mother lives out of state. That, and I'm a control freak

I think it all depends on the person. I, personally, didn't want a surprise:
1. I'm not a big fan of them (unless its surprising to someone else)
2. I live out of state so I'd pretty much know when I was coming up and the reason for it.
3. Just think you can do yourself up all nice and pretty
4. Everyone isn't stressed to try to hide it from you.
5. And if you're helping, at least you know thats its going to be everything you've always dreamed of

Im thinking I want something totally different then the typical shower.

I have 3 to goto already this year, and I know how they can get boring, since mine is probably the last one, Id like to make it different... I just dont know what I want to do yet.

I know my shower is August 6th because I need to fly to NY to get there so my mom had to tell me! (FH and I recently moved from NY to FL)...

But I don't know ANYTHING else about it . . . I'm hoping it's a brunch, and I've given lots of hints about THAT, but I haven't been involved in any other aspect of the planning, and my mom wants to surprise me with where and what type of shower I get.

actually no one knows this i know when my shower is. i know it's on april 17th, don't know the time or place. long story how found out, just say someone wasn't to smart. i made my own list of who i wanted there, i also picked the area where i want it. i have no idea about the details. i hate surprises. i told my mom and moh what i would like, who knows they listened to me. i know my registy is getting smaller.

long story, but we are actually having three parties since we have families in two different states.
I knew about two of them, and I only found out about this one (I am not totally positive, but I think they are throwing one for me this saturday) because I am currently in town and this was the only time they could plan it. I found out because I was actually planning on having my dress altered saturday afternoon, and when I was telling my mom about it she seemed to get a little flustered, and then FH said 'I think it is in you best interest not to make any plans that day'. So, I sort of got the hint, but if my mom knows that I know, she may be sad- so I will practice my best 'look at how excited I am ' expression! I am actually excited because I really don't know who is going to be there.

I think I will go peek at my resistry now.. hmmmmm ha

I didn't want to be surprised because I am difficult to be surprised and didn't want to fake it. Mine's from 12-4.

I was talking to my fiance tonight and we actually are coming up with some ideas for the shower. He is a DJ and wants to DJ the shower and also he wants to invite the groomsmen to the shower so he can be a part of the big day. I think I like this idea alot. So now to present it to my mom and my moh's.... we will see how it goes tomorrow.

I know my will be the end of June or beginning of July. Before fh and i even picked a wedding date my sister said to me 'if you get married in the summer, that would be good for me so i can have your shower after school ends' She is a teacher and lives upstate so I know it won't be any earlier. I'm a bit dissapointed that I know around when it will be. At least I don't know the location or anything.. but then again they haven't picked it so they may tell me that too
