Are these shows worth going to? I'm looking to find reasonably priced everything - so I'm just wondering if it's even worth the travel time to go to these shows if they're not close by.

I haven't booked anything except the reception! So I'm just wondering if I should go to them for reasonable priced photographers / videographers / favors etc...or if I should just ask you guys!

we went to a bridal show the day after we got engaged (it was really his idea!!) and it was ehlpful...becuase we saw a lot of what we DIDN'T want at our wedding! SO it helped us to realize that we had to be creative and do our research.... But you can also get a lot of good ideas from them....I wouldn't suggest going to too many (although you can get a lot of little free gifts that way) but a few couldn't hurt!

I don't really know as I've never been to one. I can say that a girlfriend of mine went to one and she received prizes...love free stuff!!!

A lot or some of the vendors at the shows held at reception halls are house vendors. They may not be the best. I would go just to get ideas. If you want a lot of info from vendors, bring pre-printed address labels. THis way you don't have to fill out tons of cards. If you are not interested in a vendor, don't fill out the card. Personally, I don't think I should have to pay for them. If you want my business, pay to get me in the door.
