Ok, today my mom and I went to two stores for MOB dresses. One was Elena's in Merrick and the other one was Sugar Plum.
Sugar Plums (IMO) was very very overwhelming. The woman asked my mom what color she liked and then came back with a handful of dresses and insisted that she tried them on. Even though she did not know what style or anything my mom wanted. When we asked about a particular dress, she said 'NO NO NO, we don't go by designer here. Everything is labled with a sugar plum tag'. The woman was very sweet but wayyyyyyy too pushy and overwhelming.
The other place we went was Elena's in Merrick. The woman who helped us was SOOOOOO nice! She was busy with a bride but had no problem helping us whenever she could. And my mom actually found a dress that I love!!!!! I hope she decides to get that one. But here's the thing.... As some of you know, I ordered my dress from a place that has given me nothing but problems and I cant get my alterations done there. So, if my mom buys her MOB dress from Eleni's, I was thinking of using their seamstress for my dress and the BM's dresses. Has anyone bought their gown there OR/and used their seamstress? Please share your thoughts... good or bad?
