In terms of preparation on the day of the wedding, are you guys having the entire bridal party stay at wherever you're getting ready (ie, home, bridal suite etc)???
How are you ladies handling this??

I booked mine for the night before and night of. I plan to stay there alone so I can breathe, unless someone desperately needs to share. We will all get hair& Make up done there in the AM, then I am getting dressed at the hall in that Bridal Room so I don't get messed up :)

Luckily I'm getting married at a hotel so that helps with some of this, but we are going to do this:
Both of us (FH and I) are going to stay at the hotel the night before - me with my parents in their suite, him in his own room he's reserving for one night so the GM have somewhere to get ready the next day. The hotel has a bridal room, so I'm having all the girls meet me there in the morning for hair and makeup. Then I will probably get dressed in my parents' room while they get dressed in the bridal room.
For you I would say that you don't have to have everyone together the night before, but they should plan to meet up fairly early in the morning. You don't need to have your mom and sister with you the night before if you think it would stress you out, but your mom might think it was nice to do it. I know my mom was getting all teary-eyed about it. Ugh

I booked the night b4 and the night of. Probably my OOT BMs will stay with me, and my sister of course. Maybe mom. But it's a little different b/c I live in Bklyn, quite a trek from Timberpoint. Not that I'm big into slumber parties, but it will be my last night as a single woman! Eeeks!!

I have been thinking of this because my ceremony is at my reception site and will start at 12:30PM. I was planning on just getting ready at the reception hall's bridal suite, but I would need to get there at like 9 for hair, makeup, photos, etc.. and that is early -- so I may do some things at my mom's house (where I will be staying the night before) or book a hotel room in the inn next door to the RH and just start getting ready there. Can't decide!

I don't know about you guys, but I feel all the knots in my neck and shoulders tightening up just thinking about the DAY OF!!!! Geez! It shouldn't be this stressful right??
How much time are you guys planning to allocate to get ready (makeup etc)??

I still haven't decided yet. it seems so much easier to rent a big bridal suite at the wingate hotel. then having 15 people in my house the day of. probably more even! doc with assitant, makeup artists, hair stylists, photographers with assistants, video, then bridal party, family, it never ends lol. then my 3 dogs running around, crazyness.
then again it's my house and I think I want some pictures here or maybe not. the hard decisions never end in wedding planning!

oh that's right! the photographers! they'll still have to take pics etc - I guess the bridal suite is best then -- our apartment is too small and it will get really crowded

we booked the room that DH and i were gonna stay in--for 2 nites. that is where myself and my sister/MOH stayed
he stayed in another room with his mom. then on the morning of the wedding--he sent his mom to my room to get ready and all his guys met at his room
and my mom and girls came to my room from home. then DH checked out of his room and sent his guys to drop off his stuff in my room.
it sounds much more complicated than it really is. lol

just a quick tip--if you plan on doing anything like this--be sure that you speak with your RH about it cause if they do more than one wedding a day--they may not allow you there early to get ready if they ahve another event going on.

Great advice MJDoc12!! Thank goodness the site only does one wedding at a time, although I have to check if there's an earlier event in the afternoon before mine - thanks!!!

If you don't want that many people around, then don't have them!!!!
Your day will be crazy and hectic enough. If you need less people around when you are getting ready, then do that. Just let all the girls know to meet you here by XX:XX time. I know if I was in a bridal party and the bride wanted that I wouldn't complain and take advantage of being able to sleep in and do everything at my own pace!!!

i dont know what we are doing yet but this is what i am envisioning:
bridal suite for the night before for ME - my 3 BM's can stay with me all night but they do not have to sleep in the room with me if they don't want to (one BM is FSIL so she will probably get her own room and sleep with her husband who is also the BM, my BF Justine another BM will probably get a room with her boyfriend and sleep with him and my sister my MOH may or may not sleep in my room......then everyone can come back to my room the morning of after they showered so we can all get our hair and make up done together (I hope i can afford to treat my girls and pick up the tab)......i was also thinking i will get them all bridesmaid sweat outfits to wear the morning of while we are getting ready - and i will get a brides sweat oufit - i thought that woud be cute for some pictures......then of course people will start to flood in - my parents, photographer. etc.
FH will get his own room the night before at the same hotel but we will not be seeing eachother - he will stay with the guys and i'll stay with the girls...the night of the wedding i'd like to go back to the bridal suite but if its too expensive we may just sleep in FH's room......

IM gonna stay in my apartment the night before. my mom and dad will eb at the hotel and Ill have my sister and possibly her husband stay wioth me the night before so im not all alone when I get up.
