Bridal Suite of Centereach

Bridal Suite of Centereach

I just read a post from an unhappy bride. I was wondering what other peoples opinions were. Two of my friends got dresses there and didn't have a problem. As far as the cap on alterations, I thought they had one. If you paid more then $100 please FM me.

I used them for my dress and the BM dresses. They did a great job. I had no problems with them at all.

I had no problem there at all...at one point I freaked out a bit b/c when my dress came in it was a bit too 'snug', but the ladies reassured me, and my dress was let out slightly and looked awesome!!! No complaints! I got my dress and junior BM there.

I ordered my dress from there. It came in exactly when they said it would. I have yet to have fittings but Ill give a review if anything goes wrong.

I ordered a BM dress and was NOT happy.
They ordered me a size 16, and Im a size 8/10.
When I went for a fitting the dress fell on me, and I know I lost some weight since the first fitting, but it was NOT that much..I WISH.
They remeasured me and I there was a 6 inch difference If I lost 6 inches in my waist, then how come all my other clothes fit.
My cap was $65 and they still made me pay for it, even though it was their fault.
I had 3 fittings for this dress.

Re: Bridal Suite of Centereach

I bought my dress at bridal Suite of Centereach and was generally very happy with everything EXCEPT when it came to alterations.

I bought a very simple MoriLee dress that was listed under their 'informal' line because this is my second wedding. They measured me and ordered a 4 telling me I would probably not need any alterations at all except maybe a little hem. But the cap is $150. So the dress comes is, fits practically perfect except it has a small train (which the sample dress did not have and neither did the picture on the MoriLee website ) So they asked if I wanted to cut if off and I said I would keep it. They then told me they would have to add a small hook so the train would not drag on the floor. This was NO WAY a bustle. She placed the hook about as high as the back of my need just so the small train could be lifted off the floor. Well, they charged me for a bustle and a hem and they charged me the FULL $150 + tax which came to $163 in alterations. The dress was only about $150, so I paid more for the alterations than the dress!! I was furious!!!

I used them, they weren't the best nor the worse. I just felt very rushed most of the time I was in there, they don't seem to have enough employees and way too many customers at once. I also don't think their employees always knew what looked good. For instance, my BM tried her dress on, 2 employees were like looks great, no alterations needed, she and I were both hesitant and we went to the seamstress and she told her she needed 2 inches out, and she was really right!

Everyone has a different opinion on them, bottom line, my dress and the girls dresses looked great and that is all that mattered!

I bought my dress at Bridal Suite in Centereach. I got the bridesmaid dresses there as well. I was very happy with the service. I dealt with Debbie. She was extremely helpful and great to deal with. I highly recommend them.

I used them and I wasn't that impressed with their service. Luckily, my dress came in fine, but they had to order my headpiece 3 times b/c they kept ordering the wrong one (!?!). After the 2nd time, the manager told me he would order it again and it would only take a few weeks. It actually took 3 months. I was fortunate enough to have ordered early so these mistakes were not a problem, but they didn't seem very organized. Whenever I called to check on it, no one seemed to know what was going on.

Hi.
I ordered my dress and all 5 of my BM dresses from there. So far I haven't had any problems. I'm going with one of my BM for our second fitting tonight. I will let you know how that goes. As far as timing my dress was there exactly when they said it would be. I worked with Jackie and she was very helpful and I even got a discount on my BM's when I told them I could by online for cheaper.

I also agree that everyone will have a different expierence depending on who assisted them. I would def ask for one of the ladies recommended on this post.

I got a BM dress from them recently and wasn't thrilled with their service. The lady that did the alterations for me insisted on two visits that the dress did not need to be taken in, when of course it did. She was practically fighting with me about it. Then the day of the wedding I realized that the hem on the inner lining of the dress was completely crooked and hanging out on the bottom. It looked ridiculous! The brides mother had to get out a needle and thread to fix it an hour before the wedding! And I paid $65 for the alterations.

I ordered my gown from here. I picked this place because I was happy with the service. I am working with Doloris. She is extremely nice. I had some problems with my gown when it came in. It was not exactly what I had ordered or anticipated. I must say though, that the manager was extremely sympathic and accommadating. I tried on my dress and it fits perfect. I must say thought, that I signed to order a dress size smaller then they said. I knew it would fit fine because I had tried it on in that size at another store, and it fit perfect.
