Re: bridal suites in suffolk
I ordered my dress from Helen's Bridal and each time I went there without an appointment everyone was super super nice and helped me for as long as I needed. I never felt rushed.

I ordered my dress from Paradise & have had nothing but a wonderful experience. They were so amazing & helpful & this was the last place I went to...I felt rushed & the women were snotty at alot of the other places.. this is where I finally felt the most comfortable. I came back 2 or 3 times & tried on numerous dresses with no problem..& 2 of my gf's had great experiences with them as well..My consultant is Barbara & she is fantastc if you want to give them a try :)

Re: bridal suites in suffolk
Definitely go with Helen's.
I had an awesome experience with them when I first tried on dresses. So much so I ordered from them even though the dress was more expensive BEFORE they price matched it for me.
Try to work with Liz or Ashley....they are great!

Re: bridal suites in suffolk
isn't helens the same as the wedding center? I didn't care much for the wedding center.. they were nice, then rude, then REALLY pushy!
I haven't been to paradise yet.
Do you have a picture of the dress?

Helen's is in Wedding World on Austin Blvd in Commack.
Wedding World is right off of Commack Road...I went there and had a horrible experience.

I had an excellent experience at Paradise Bridal in Patchogue. I am surprised to read that someone didnt have a good expereince. It also depends on the person you work with. I would recommend Danielle 100%! She was so sweet and patient! I would def call to make an appointment with her. I went to so many places and no one was as honest and helpful as her. I actually went back to buy my dress through her! :)

Re: bridal suites in suffolk
Had a Terrible experiences with paradise when I was in other weddings. They were GREAT during the ordering process but once the dresses came in you were treated like crap. Problems from ordering the wrong size dresses, to altering them wrong, ordering brides dress wrong and brides dress having coffee stains on it when she picked it up, list goes on... Was two years ago, so who knows maybe things change, but I havent heard much good recently either.
Helens- went and tried on dresses.. no problems there, but ordered elsewhere.
Good luck!!!!
Which dress ya got your eye on?

I had positive experiences at both places. I bought my dress at Paradise, but I've gone through Helen's for BM dresses before. I never had a problem with either place.

Had the most aweful experience 3 times at Helens (used them for other weddings).. I would never recommend this place to anyone ever. Not even my worst enemy.. and I am usually the one to always give the benefit of the doubt.
I <3 paradise. I got my dress there. They have been nothing but helpful.

Re: bridal suites in suffolk
I went to Helen's Bridal in Commack for her Bonny Bridal trunk show last Saturday just to really start looking for my wedding dress. I worked with Liz who was awesome. I ended up buying a Maggie Sottero dress from there in less than an hour and a half...
Liz was Great!!! We heard the staff laughing and having a great time from the second we walked into the store. They are located inside of Wedding World (which I did not know when I walked in and at the time wasn't happy about) but she was helpful and knew exactly what I was looking for. She suggested another dress(the one I ended up buying) after one of the Bonny dresses made me feel too much like Jessica Rabbit. I tried it on and the image of my wedding day popped into my head.. It was everything i wanted my dress to be... classy, elegant, different and I won't end up hating it in 20 years!!!!
The best part.... The dress wasn't supposed to be discounted until the end of July when the Maggie Sottero trunk show was going to be held but Liz took care of me anyway so I didn't have to come back. Not only did she give me the 10% discount but they also had a store coupon for $100.00 off !!!! After the discounts plus shipping fees and tax the total was only $835 before alterations. Liza also capped the alterations at $99 for the bustle (up to 9 points) and the hem at $175.00. Basic alterations were capped at $295.00.. Liz went through sizing with me and because Maggie's dress have the bras built into the dress and is a corset back (which can just be pulled tighter)I probably won't need many alterations, just the hem and bustle!!!.. Not having to buy a new bra just for the wedding dress and not needing a slip underneath saves a ton of money!! I couldn't believe I was going to get my dress at the first real store I went to but it was everything I wanted... Definitely give Helen's a try!!!!!
