All I can say about that place is Yikes!! Definitely don`t bother. They did have quite a few dresses, but the buildings were run down, and smelled as though they had a flood and didn`t dry the rugs properly. I don`t know, just imagine an overwhelming smell of moldy carpets, housed in rundown pink buildings, with little bugs flying around everywhere in the show room. Not my idea of the place to buy my dream dress. Also, the dresses were a little dated, VERY puffy sleeves, and LOTS of heavy beading. I`d say the dresses were comprable in quality to things you`d find at Davids, except David`s offers more updated styles. The prices weren`t great either. I tried on a dress there that was $1400, but I tried one on at Davids that was very similar, but only $600. Also, there aren`t actual designer tags on the dresses, but tags that were printed on a computer, with brands I`ve never heard of. I recognized a few of the dresses to be P.C. Mary`s, but were labled William Whyte Couture. I`ve searched the web, and found out that they are indeed a retailer of Mary`s, but haven`t found any designers by the name of William Whyte Couture, so that was fishy. Another fishy thing was, they offer you I think a 40% discount if you join some sort of vacation club. Ugh..another thing, they sell you the sample. Some places I`ve been, the samples are in great shape, and I wouldn`t mind wearing them, but this place smelled, and the samples were in terrible shape. If you want them to order you a dress, I don`t think they give you the discount, and their prices are jacked up. I don`t know, it might be fun to stop by if you`re in Philadelphia, but otherwise, don`t bother.

This place sounds like The Bridal Mart...

down here in North Carolina. They advertise having the largest selection of dresses, etc. We took the 45 min. ride, and afterwards we were sorry we did. It was run down, outdated dresses with the poofy sleeves, they also looked used and dirty. When it sounds too good to be true, it usually is!

I live in NC too (Raleigh) -- I used Bridal Mart in Burlington for my bridesmaid dresses. I thought they had a great selection of gowns -- I didn't try on any wedding dresses there-- but looked through them -- but I'm surprised you thought it was so bad. I got a great price on Jim Hjelm dresses for my BMs. Anyway -- just surprised -- and everyone is entitled to their opinion. Good Luck with your planning.

(We just moved to Morrisville from Raleigh about a month ago.) What did you think of the wedding gowns? I didn't look at any BM's dresses there though. Maybe they were nice. You didn't think the wedding gowns were outdated and looked dirty? Maybe I just had a bad experience there.

I had already gotten my wedding gown when we went there but I watched many of the girls try on dresses and we actually went through all the dresses to see if we could find my Demetrios gown (b/c they carry Demetrios) and found several that were very close. I thought they dresses were in-style. They were all organized by dress type. I also looked at veils/headpieces there but didn't really find anything I liked.
They were a pleasure to deal with as far as the bridesmaid dresses go. The only thing with them is you have to pay for the dresses in full before they will even let you look at the dresses. If there is a problem they will deal with the manufacturer. Luckily I did not have any problems and the dresses came in as scheduled.
