Bride and Groom wedding presents

My FH has wanted a Tag Heuer watch for years and now this is the perfect time to buy it, as a present for the wedding. Here it is:



Once he found out we were springing the dough for the watch, he realized he'd need to get me something too! For my wedding present(s), he went a little overboard. But I don't mind.

First, he got me peridot earrings to match my ring and necklace, they look like this but they're oval, not square:



Then he got me a pearl earring and necklace set, these are the earrings but the necklace is just like it. I have leaf shapes in my engagement ring so it matches that too:



Finally, this is the earring and necklace set from Things Remembered that I'm wearing at the wedding. Again with the flower and leaf theme, it matches my headpiece very nicely:



I've never been such a jewelry hound!!! I was in Macy's tonight and kept stopping at all the sparklies in the cases, I think I've got a sickness now!

So, you know what he got you...and your wedding is in June? Interesting....I was planning on keeping it a secret and exchanging the night of rehearsal.

My mom seems to think that the bride/groom wedding presents is a new thing, and that it's a 'trend'. I was wondering who else was doing this, so I could tell her that I'm not the only one!!

JNM, I couldn't keep the watch a secret because he's very specific about which one he wants (and that changes from time to time), not to mention, this is the most expensive thing I've ever bought for him. I just didn't want to get it wrong.

FH showed me my presents because I've been pretty sick for over a week and needed a 'pick-me-up'. He was right, it did the trick! We are also very bad at keeping secrets or surprises from each other. We get so excited about giving each other gifts that we can't keep it to ourselves!

i think a lot of couples exchange gifts. as for it being something new, i'm not so sure about that. my mom and dad exchanged gifts over 30 years ago.
