Bride to be- on a budget

I am getting married in 3/04 I am looking for a Photo/Video and DJ- has anyone done business with Jam Wedding Center in Lynbrook- their prices are reasonable- or Dreamweavers in Jackson Heights Queens- websites jamweddings.com and dreamweaverscatering.com- my budget is 2000 for photo and video and 8-900 for dj- any suggestions?

Try Variety Music. I'm using them for my June wedding and their prices are reasonable. I believe that they do video but I don't think they do photography. Ask for Ray...he's awesome!

For video try Bellarino, he has all packages to work with and a lot of brides on this board are using them. (Including me) . I looked all over for photo and ended up going with Rick and Co. he is the house photographer for The Miller Place Inn, DJ we are using Albert Lee Music , another bride on this board suggested him to me and he does awesome work. But keep in mind that evryone has a different opinion on each vendor, and always remember to ask if they have any complaints with the BBB. I am not sure what the prices are for the things you want , but you might want to check these vendors out and then see what they are offering for the money.

I met with jam wedding center and although they were nice, for the amount they wanted, you can go somewhere else and get MORE for less!!

I was displeased with their outdated albums, lack of # of pictures that they were taking.. I think they said they take like 150 Pics!! lol could you imagine!

FH's cousin used Jam Wedding Center for his wedding 6 years ago and they were NOT happy. His wife told us to stay away from them. I didn’t bother going to them after that so I can’t say from personal experience how they are.
You can check out Queens Bridal Center. However, I would have gone with Ariana Studios as my second choice. They were really nice, good quality stuff and I believe Latina511 used them. I would recommend going to Bellarino for video and VIP for photos. Both are very reasonable and good quality vendors.
Good Luck!

I forgot to add for DJ, we are using Doochie Dee for our eparty. If all goes well we plan on booking for the wedding. He charges by the hour. So if your party is 4 hrs=$400.
He caters to Hispanic and Caribbean crowds. I will post my review on my eparty in 2 weeks.
