I am currently researchin hotels in the area since my reception ends at 230 and most of our guests are from Brooklyn, Staten Island, etc. So far I really like the Hyatt in Garden City and the Viana. The Viana is recommended by Jericho Terrace and I heard about the Hyatt from a bride on here. If any one has any feedback on one of the two or both please share. Thanks!

I really liked the manager at the Viana when I spoke to him but they were about 30 more per room than the hyatt. Also, I really want to pay for the brunch the day of and the Viana makes you pay in full before.
Anyone else have exper with the two??

im pretty sure they said there are vouchers for breakfast that you can pay for beforehand and they will give the vouchers to your guests when they check in.

We looked at both. While the Viana is gorgeous, we want to make staying over financially convenient for our guests. Viana was the highest rate we were quoted.
ETA: You can always block rooms at both hotels so that your guests have an option. Hyatt also providesd a free shuttle, whereas Viana charges you for it.
