Brides doing the generation dance

what are you giving the winners? I was thinking of a bottle of champagne.. TIA

We gave our anniversary dance winners a bottle of wine and my throw away bouquet since I opted to skip the toss.

We just gave them my throw-away bouquet - the anniversary dance was in place of a toss.

yeah, i've seen that done a lot. I'm doing both tho, so for the Generation Dance, I'm going to just give a bottle of wine. We are definitely tossing the bouquet & garter tho

I had actually completely forgotten to buy something for the winner, so thankfully, Rachel, who did our hair and makeup, brought me a bottle of wine all wrapped in a pretty wrapper. I didn't tell her, obviously, but I gave that to our DJ to give to the winner

We actually had a little issue though, b/c 2 couples ended up tying for the win!!! Our Maitre'D was kind enough to give the other couple a complimentary bottle of champagne! He really came thru for us!

we did an anniversary dance, not sure if it's the same thing but we didnt give a prize, we just posed for a picture with the longest married couple and talked with them a little afterwards

We gave the woman my actual bouquet and the man a bottle of wine with the throw away garter around it.

Well, I called it the anniversary dance, but I think it's the same thing. I didn't know what it was, either, til someone on here mentioned it and I decided it was so cute, we had to do it at our wedding!

It's a dance where the DJ calls all married couples out on the dance floor and plays a slow song. As the song is playing, he starts weeding out the couples starting with who has been married under a year, 2-5 years, etc. The 'winner' will be the couple who's been married the longest. It's very cute! Alot of brides do it in place of the bo-k/garter toss, but I did both.
