Did you find the process simple or was it very tedious? Also, how much did you save by doing it this route?

Lol....WOMAN- I'M TRYING TO BUDGET HERE!!!!! Lol.
I don't think I would do it, but I'm soooo curious to see if I could pull off an awesome album! Want to see my creative abilities, but I know my lazy abilities will probably over-take any creative bone in my body!!!! lol. FH doesn't want me to even bother, but, I'm going to try making an album with some trips we have taken over the years. I'll prove that him wrong. Soon, I'll have TP asking me to join his team.
Ohhhh, I was telling FH that during the ceremony we should do 'set-up' shots. We will look at each other for 5 seconds and then look at the priest. Then I look at him and then he looks at me. I have this whole thing choreographed!!! hahahaha.
Wait until I tell TP my great ideas!!! Hahaha

You should do it yourself. Use http://www.blurb.com/ or http://inkubook.com/Default.aspx . If you have Mac computer you can do amazing books on mac. I've been making family photo books for a while now and they are inexpensive and very nice looking. To help you with design google 'wedding album layout' or something similar. I like mac and blurb best.

I don't know if this is what you mean, but I made a Kodak album for someone recently and it came out GORGEOUS! Lots of easy-to-do layout options... I totally recommend.
We got a good package with our photog that includes mini replicas of our album for the parents. But I think I might go the Kodak route for his Aunt and Uncle and others. However, since we will own all our proofs, I would definitely consider doing parent albums this way.

its not my official one, but i did one on shutterfly just for myself to show around and it came out really great! for our parents we actually bought blank albums from vera wang and had the front cover (silver) engraved. we had something to give them all at the rd and then they could order the prints that they wanted and fill it after the wedding

my phtographer gave me the parent albums included in my photographer's package. i'm going to let my parents and in laws chose their own pictures to put in there. their album - they can do what they want with it
