I'm at work and too lazy to call the salon. Does anyone know when the final payment for the dress is usually due? My dress came in and I'm going to try it on Saturday, and I wanted to make sure they're not going to ask for the payment, haha.
TIA!

You typically can't pick up the gown until it's paid in full. Where did you get it from? When you ordered it, that info should have been discussed.

I had to pay mine in full so I assume once you want to pick it up, it needs to be paid by then. If you are having them hold it for you and are making payments then I don't think you trying it on is going to pressure you into making a payment. HTH

I paid mine in full when I bought it but when it came in the woman told me that if it wasn't paid in full I had to pay the balance when I came in. HTH!

I'm not going to pick it up. They hold it in store until I begin alterations, which won't be until Sept/Oct. I'm just going in to try it on and see it.

Re: Bride's Gown
My dress needed to paid in full within 10-14 days of it coming into the store. At this point the store has paid for the dress and they want their money.
For alterations, this payment was paid in full prior to any cutting and sewing. For the bustle, this payment was collected prior to any buttons/loops added.
My dress came in about 3 months prior to my wedding. They held the dress until final pick-up the day before my wedding.

I checked my contract. 50% of the remaining balance is due at the first fitting.
