brides gown color

this is my dress. Victoriana by Maggie Sottero

i have a choice between white & ivory & don't know which to get.

some opinions on what color you are getting would be helpful.

That was my dress and I got it in ivory. Check out my album. I have some non pro pics of my wedding. Everyone thought the dress was white. HTH!!

Get whichever color looks best against your skin.
My Maggie was the light gold color, and I loved it.

I prefer ivory over white. I really don't like the way most stark white gowns look. I find it makes a lot of dresses look cheap even if they're not. That's not to say it always makes them look cheap (calm down ladies with white gowns who are about to kill me), but sometimes...JMO, but I find ivory to be flattering on almost every skin tone.

Agian go with what looks good with your skin tone.
My dress is a Maggie and it's in Diamond White.

But if I were to pick from ivory and white, i'd pick ivory.

I like both, but would probably go with Ivory to compliment my skin tone. Try both colors against your skin to help make the choice easier. HTH

i would go with ivory----stark white could wash you out....but thats JMO

Just choose the one that goes best with your skin tone. Some ppl look better in white and others in ivory. So don't go by what others did bc most girls on here picked the color that worked with their skin tone best. Many of us I think thought we'd get white but once we went shopping we realized that ivory was better for us and for others vice versa

It really depends on your skin tone. I always thought I'd want an ivory dress since my skin is more on the olive side, but white looked much better on me.

i agree, the light gold is perfect for me it gives me some color with my translucent skin

My dress was ivory - it looked better with my skin tone than white did. You would have to see what color works best for you.

I prefer ivory as well. I noticed in some pics, if you are doing them outside on a possibly bright day, the white looked overpowering and glared as well.
