two of the girls described what they wanted to get after they had asked me and it was exactly how mine is going to be..and idk i couldnt help but to be a lil upset like i feel like my friends wedding for august she told us how she was doing her hair and then she wanted all ours a certain way n i was perfectly fine with that..i cant imagine being like ohh but i wanted mine the way yours was?
idk i know its not a big deal but at first i was just a lil confused like theres soooo many hair styles you can do and after they asked me mine n then said yea im gonna do that idk i feel like i would want the bride to have theirs like speical? IDKK what do you ladies think

Did you have a trial yet? If not get what you want done n if u love it, tell them that's what you've been thinking of doing then be like I wanna be different or something lol. I told my girls I don't care what they do as long as it's not similar to mine lol

thats exactly what i said to them as long as its not similar to mine like i told them that in the beginning...then now they describe it and im like thats exactly what im doing and they know it so im just confused like i dont wanna have to be like no you guys cant like dont put me in that situation

its def ok to let them know. my aunt who is a hairstylist and mother of 2 of my BMs clearly said, 'if ur hair is down, theirs must be up' ... the bride must stand out ... they should understand.

so then what should i say to them???? like we were all together last night for a friends engagement party...and they were asking again and i said that's what im doing..i was giving them other suggestions but this is the 3rd time they've brought it up and it really upsets me that they would put me in this situation that i have to like specify over and over do not have the same hair style as me! im doing it on the side bun kinda thing looser with curls similar to what i had for my engagement party. there are mannyyyyyy other hair styles! ahhhhhhhh i dont get people some times

I'm telling my girls I want them to hair their hair up. Honestly, even if they have a similar style, it will look totally different on a different person.

I want my girls hair to be down with a nice, romantic loose curl on the bottom. I think this style is very pretty and elegant and simple enough where no one will have to worry that it doesn't look good.
As for me, mine will be much more elaborate, with a stunning headpiece, etc...
It's a given that their hair should resemble yours. Everyone knows that. As long as they still feel beautiful, they'll be happy.

They really should understand. It's how it always is at weddings. The BM just don't do their hair the way the bride does. And when you tell them again, no I don't want your hair the same way mine is, you must choose a different style, and they gripe about it, remind them that you're not forcing them all to get the same style because a lot of brides even do that!

I didn't tell them a specific way. 1 of them ended up with something similar.. but it looked totally different..
different hair colors. I had a pretty comb. I had a veil.
In pictures it looks nothing like mine.

This is my one bridezilla moment!!! I am having all my girls do their hair up. I wanted side pony's with loose curls flowing down their shoulders but they keep cutting their hair so it will just be updo's to the right side. They are all getting ready with me, so it shouldn't be too hard!

I only have one BM/MOH...My hair is up, hers is down :) But, if she wanted to wear it up I wouldn't mind either - I want her to feel beautiful on that day also.

I am getting extensions put in and I told my girls that as long as it's not the same as mine (down & fat curls), I don't care what they do!

Can't you just tell them that you had an idea of how u wanted the BMs to do their hair??
Either that or tell the hairstylist how you want their hair done and they have no choice when it's being done.
My hair is down and my BMs hair will be pulled into a side ponytail. If they don't like it, oh well.

ITA with this. i don't really care because i have a huge headpiece anyway. but if it bothers you, you should tell them. every wedding i've ever been in an updo was mandated and it annoyed me a bit because i look ridiculous with an updo, but that's what they wanted, so i ****** it up.
