Hello ladies...just curious...are you having an after-party when you wedding is (dare I say it) over?
If so, where are you having it if you don't mind my asking-a hotel, someone's house, etc?

We plan to go back to the hotel bar...but everyone's on their own!

We went to a friends daytime wedding last year, and they did have an after party. They rented out the rec room in the hotel they had blocked rooms at.

We treated our friends to a night of bowling after the wedding. We actually cut our floral budget in half in order to fit it into our budget. It was a BLAST...those memories were totally worth cutting our fancy flowers for! We ended up with about 90 people there...in their dress clothes...bowling for hours and gorging on snack foods!

If people want to come back to our suite then they are more than welcome, but at this point nothing is planned per se. Can't afford to host 2 bashes!

I hear that! It's gonna be really tough to fit another party in the budget. We are definitely going out somewhere or just hanging out at the bar that's at our reception hall.

We were considering it, but I don't think we'll have the money. If we do anything it'll just be hanging out at the hotel.

Thanks ladies!!! I feel better about not hosting another formal party...we will probably go hang out at the hotel bar afterwards nothing crazy!!

We juts had it at the hotel... our reception ended at about 7, so everyone headed over there. the hotel kept the bar open for us. people stayed down there drinking and hanging out past midnight. it was great!

Yes, we plan on bringing the party to the bar at the hotel.

we're going back to the oot hotel but very low key. the hotel provides shuttles and we have a lot of ooters, so it will give us a chance to mingle a little more. it's not going to be a big thing, not sure of the details.

we didn't.

ours ended around 5 or so... and we went back to our hotel room with my parents and hung out for a bit.

we were SO exhausted after having to way up at 4 to get ready! there's no way we would have wanted to entertain anyone!

we had a party at the hotel from 6 to 10pm and it was great!

hmmm im not sure yet. Our reception is over at 6, so my grandma might have the oot guests over her place. I think at that point i want to relax haha

We figure people will end up going to the bars in port jeff, but it will be every man for themselves. Me and FH already plan on going to the hotel for a little while to relax before joining anyone elsewhere. I'll be up at 4am, I think I might need a nap if I'm expected to stay up all night too.

We had one...we took over the bar in the hotel where the OOT guests are staying and just hung out there all night. I would HIGHLY recommend doing it. The day goes so fast and there is so much that you miss, its was great to kick back with some of our guests and talk about it, get their take on the day, etc.
