Are you including the 7 circles portion in your ceremony? My rabbi said it was optional but I am worried about tripping on my train. Anyone with previous experience or tips?

you can choose to do 3 circles if you prefer (3 or 7 are both 'allowed' numbers)
i haven't even thought about tripping on my train ... i guess i'll hold it if it gets out of hand (or have my MOH follow me around FH lol)

I only saw this done at one jewish wedding I was at (3 others i did not see it done), but all were not that religous. I probably will not do it unless the rabbi requires such (one less thing to worry about). Although I did not dicuss this with FH and did not give it much thought until i saw it here,

Yes, I'm doing it......but haven't decided whether I'm walking around 3 times or 7 times. Also worried about getting tangled up in the veil/dress.

I would only do the egalitarian version (we circle each other), but neither of us really wants to do it.

I wanted to do this but my fiance is sephardic (I'm not) and he was told that it is not part of the sephardic wedding ceremony .. I still have to ask my rabbi but does anyone know if this is true?

I am not sure if i'm doing it yet...but i did see a great idea at a friend's wedding..she walked around him 3 times, he walked around her 3 times and the last time they walked around together... just a thought

no..my rabbi said he usually doesnt do it but if we wanted to, he could, but we just said we will stick to what he normally does.
