Brides looking 4 or booked a Band

Ahhh.. If I have to listen to 'RESPECT' or 'Your the first the last my everything' one more time....

I'm looking for a 6 or 7 piece band with a wide variety of music that I can see before I book.
I had no idea this would get so difficult.

Who have you seen????
Who did you book?????

Prices would help too, you can FM me if you like.
TIA for all your help everyone

I booked Times Square Orchestra. Eight piece band - very reasonable and very versatile. They showcase every 3 weeks on Thursday nights at the Holiday Inn at Carle Place. timessquareorchestra.com

Good luck!

I booked After Midnight from http://www.grooveevents.com
They are amazing and do live showcases fairly often.

Franklin Wayne Music has a bunch of different bands. They do showcases all the time, you should check them out.

I second that. Also if you do not like any songs you can cross it off the list and they won't play it.

We booked an 8 piece band for $4500. Its a little out of the way for you, Westchester, but you should at least check out their website. www.stolenmoments.com The band we booked is Moonlight Silhouettes, you can hear samples on the website.

I second Times Square! In addition, check out A. Stan Weist...he's a vendor here on the board.

I'll third Times Square - they played Rob-Luvs-Me's wedding last Saturday, and they were AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I probably heard 30 bands. No joke and went with Live Wire. They are an 8 piece band but will do 7. Very reasonably priced www.livewireny.com. If you call you can talk to Anthony who is the band leader.

I'm chuckling - we had the same reaction, except that the song that did it for us was 'Ain't no stoppin' us now.' DH was ready to kill someone after hearing it over and over and over and over...

We also looked at a bunch of bands, and went with Paul Rich Music (www.paulrichmusic.com). A close second choice for us was The Right Mix by Vali Music. Vali does pretty frequent showcases in Manhattan. Good luck!

Skyline - from Skyline Orchestras is also great and reasonably priced - we are using them and very happy!! www.skylineorchestras.com

If anyone was at the Bridal Expo at the Uniondale Marriott the other night - Skyline was playing.
