Brides looking for Manolo Blahnik Shoes

I noticed alot of brides were looking for Manolo Blahnik Shoes which are so beautiful. They are very expensive and very hard to find. So I was just searching shoes and saw on Davids Bridal shoes that look similar to the Manolo shoes brides were looking for. db

This decision is tearing me up... on one side I'm thinking there are so many extras I'm going big on... day of jewelry, invitations, favors, cake... that I shouldnt do them.... then I'm thinking I really work sooooooooooooooooo hard I should treat myself. I have until October to decide when I have to get measured.

Any girls who have taken the plunge... why did you do it?

All I know is that I will get a shoe that is comfortable and I will break them in. I am going to go crazy on my hair by getting extensions.

Im debating also on this, I really want to splurge on shoes. Everyone who knows me well knows that I'm a shoe freak, I always have to have the hottest shoes but Im so broke, If I get a good job and can save just for the shoes then Im gonna go for it.

i did it bc during the planning for 2 years i barely bought myself anything that wasnt wedding related...all i did was save and save and save lol. I barely bought myself clothes, shoes or anything like that. So i figured the amount of money i saved NOT buying shoes for about 2 years added up to more than that 1 pair so i deserved it i told Dh he also cant say anything bc during the 2 year engagement he bought himself at least 75 pairs of sneakers and numerous shoes, so he spent way more on these things lol.

Its something you do have to be comfortable with, look at your budget and see where youre at also. Its definitely not a must in wedding planning and shouldn't be done if its not within the budget or if you dont feel comfortable doing so. But if it works within your budget and youre ok with it then go for it. You'll love the shoes you wear that day no matter what. Its definitely a personal decision so only you can decide, dont let people tell you to do it or not to do it

I told myself no shoe purchases this year because I have to save for the wedding. That lasted 2 months until all the new spring/summer shoes came out. I have my mind set on the Manolo but I need the heel shorter. So I am hoping when I visit the store they have different styles that are not so high.

i actually tried those on when i was there looking for BM dresses. They werent very comfortable. At least to me. The side kept pinching my foot & so i went bigger & they were way to big. I wear a 7 or 7.5 depends on the shoe they just werent right for me.

I guess thats why i always spend alot on my shoes & bags now my feet are spoiled brats! lol

Thanks! I have actually cut back on shopping a lot and I do work a lot of extra time that I can put towards it. I think I have to try them both on to decide.

Re: Brides looking for Manolo Blahnik Shoes

Well I took the plunge also and purchased them this week. I did it for a few reasons:
1: I felt that I deserved it... I figured, I am only getting married once in my life time and why not splurge, I deserve it! I have had the idea in my head since I was young that i want a fairytale wedding and to feel like a princess... well those shoes I have had my eye on for years, even before I was engaged....and they make me feel like a princess! I figured- go for it!
2. In relation to everything else that is being spent- the shoes were not that terrible.
3. I will 100% wear them again ( got them in silver)
4. I wanted a shoe that I would wear all day long- I was going for style AND comfort - The Manolo's are soooooooooo comfy!
and #5... I will go back to the fact that I DESERVE them!

Some people may think its crazy or I am crazy, and I have already gotten the head shake from some that I have told or showed, but, that shoe purchase has really made me so happy and I really do feel like I love these shoes... to ME, it was 100% worth the purchase!
