Brides maids shoes

The only 2 wedding parties I've been in the bride has chosen the shoes. So I thought that I was supposed to do the same. I am getting so much grief from everyone that I will have to return them. I didn't know I was being unreasonable...what do you guys think? My feelings are getting hurt....

Re: Brides maids shoes

Very pretty. They are silver? So are my bridesmaids. Maybe they are too high for one or more of the bridesmaids or they are uncofortable. I know my bridesmaids wanted comfort. I let them all get their own, but all have silver. I didnt like the ones my sister in law picked out because it didnt go so she bought new ones. Good luck!

Re: Brides maids shoes

So you told them the color and they picked their own. That is the approach I am going to take now. But the girls are gonna have to scramble because the wed is in 17 days

Re: Brides maids shoes

I am freaking out myself. I have been engaged for a year and 8 months and I still don't have:
Hairdresser
Makeup
LIMOS!!!!!!
and all the little things.

One girl had the fitting with the high shoes but she asked them to hold off on the alterations till we figure this out. Another girl just told the seamstress to find a happy medium in the length in case we go with a 2 inch heel. The rest have to deal with it this week. Confusing. I'm feeling overwhelmed...I thought the last 2 weekd would be the fun stuff... Sorry to vent.

Re: Brides maids shoes

I at first wanted everyone to get the same shoes. But the shoes that I liked looked terrible on a few of the girls. So, I let them all pick their own shoes, and I said to myself, why worry about shoes? Everyone will be comfortable in their own style anyway, I just gave them guidlines.

Re: Brides maids shoes

you guys are totally right...if i had it to do over again i would have had them pick their own with some simple guidelines. I really stressed myself out on this one for no reason. Thanks.

Do you guys recommend any Limo companies...I'm kind of running out of time on this one!!!!!

Re: Brides maids shoes

Good Luck with everything...I would let the girls pick shoes. Those shoes you picked are very pretty and I would totally wear them but I know at least three of my bridesmaids would kill me for picking those shoes- - too high for them!

I told all my girls to wear black shoes (no guidelines) to wear with their bordeaux dresses. My FSIL told us to all get silver shoes (no guidelines). I got pretty strappy silver sandals. If you let them pick you would have one less worry. Let them scramble around..it's part of being a bridesmaid! (I have been in four bridal parties and only one picked shoes for us!)

AS far as limos, I am using Royalty Limo.

Re: Brides maids shoes

I just asked everyone to get silver strappy sandals - it worked out fine. Everyone got the heel height/style they were comfortable in.

Re: Brides maids shoes

I am using All Star Limo. I felt very comfortable walking out of there when I booked them. My friends whole family used them for their weddings and they were very happy with them. They are on this website under limousine companies.

Re: Brides maids shoes

I will let the girls pick out their own shoes, its easier that way. That way, everyone is comfortable.

Re: Brides maids shoes

The shoes are very pretty, however, IMO, you should let the girls pick out the shoes...for example, I am 5'10' and I'd hate them. I can't wear super high shoes, I am tall enough now!
Your feelings shouldn't be hurt, just think if you were in a wedding and someone picked your shoes, you may not like them or you may feel uncomfortable walking in them, I am sure they didn't dislike your taste in shoes, maybe just other reasons.
I am also letting my girls pick out their dresses so each different body type feels comfortable for them.

Re: Brides maids shoes

Wow I thought I was the only one with bridesmaids and shoe problems. My future sister in law called last night with an attitude wondering about the shoes. The color of there dresses are sky (weird peri color) so I thought silver would go best as well. We are planning to go shoe shopping thurs. I know I'm not crazy now for wanting them to wear silver.
