Brides that are whiter than your wedding dress....
I am like the whitest person alive. I'm wearing an ivory and gold dress.... But I am so white!! I don't know what to do. I don't want to go tanning because besides the fact that I'm very pale, I have nice skin and I'm really not into ruining it for the future. When I do go in the sun, I don't even tan... I turn red. I heard that the spray on tan can be uneven and orange. I tried Jergens Natural glow and it's pretty good, but of course I can never apply it evenly. What are all the other pale brides doing?

I have an ivory dress, which actually makes my skin tone look darker. I'm not going tanning or anything like that. I am who I am

I'm just like you! And I also am somewhat anti-tanning salon. I tried a spray tan about a year ago and it was okay - not bad, but I don't know if I'd take the chance before the wedding. I've been using the Jergens Natural Glow for a few months now and love it - it's worked much better for me than any other self tanners. If you really do it gradually and use pretty small amounts each day, you might be able to get more even. Good luck!!!

this is what I did for my wedding. it was subtle but nice. I don't 'tan' anyway, so I didn't want anything to extreme like the spray-on tans and the tanning salon.

Embrace your paleness!! I'm pale too, and I'm wearing an ivory dress. I'm not going to tan either. Besides, porcelain skin looks great in pictures.

As a fellow pale girl, I agree about the porcelain skin. I might make an appointment at the place eogara used in NYC. They actually apply / spray the tanner on you so it is even.
Search her review for more details!
Good luck!

You should look into the Air Brush Tanning where they apply it for you. I heard that Maximus does a good job.

I am also very pale - when I went dress shopping last winter, I thought I would need an ivory or off-white dress but it turned out that the white dress complimented my skin color (or lack there-of) better than the ivory dress which actually washed me out. I've tried a self-tanning lotion but it came out blotchy so I'll probably just stay white!

I am totally in the same boat. My dress is diamond white - i tried on white white and ivory, too, and I thought the dw looked best. to top it off, i am getting married in january, and i live in seattle, which is a city full of pasty white legs.
How is the jergen's stuff???? One of my SIL's BM had a fake tan of some kind (don't know which) and she looked like an oompa loompa in all the pictures - I'd rather be white than orange!!!!!!!!!!!! I fear the fake tan!

I am pretty white too but I am doing no such tanning whether it be by machine or lotions because my wedding is in February. I think I would look ridiculous with a tan in February BEFORE I go on my honeymoon where it will be warm.

I am also very pale. I had a diamond white dress, and I did not attempt to tan at all before my wedding. My feeling was that I wanted to look like me, and I'm never tan, so I was very content being my usual, fair skinned self for my wedding day.

Sorry about the prev. post...
But just a small warning on Air Brush Tanning... A friend of mine actually stood naked and had a girl air brush tan her by hand (instead of a walk-in booth which can be uneven) And she looked GREAT... But air brush tanning does eventually streak as it wears off unevenly
Just don't air brush TOO soon before the wedding... don't want streaks!
