We got a couple of early wedding gifts from people that cannot attend. Our thank you notes have our monogram on them.
My question is, can I send the monogramed thank yous even though we are not married yet, or should I buy standard thank you cards for the early gifts?
TIA!

I wouldn't send the momogrammed thank you notes yet because you're not married and haven't changed your name. However, you could write thank yous on the monogrammed notes now, but don't mail them until after the wedding. That's what we'll probably do for the gifts we already received.

Use generic stationary from hallmark or something similar. Do not wait until you wedding -- I think that is rude. Depending on when your wedding is they might be waiting for 3 months!
My rule of thumb has been: All gifts given before wedding (including shower gifts): Notes were written within 2 weeks.
After the wedding I **hope** to have then done 1 week after the honeymoon.

We got gifts before the wedding, I am sending them thank you's when I send the one for the wedding, for those that did attend.

I am just using generic thank you cards for early wedding presents... I don't want to wait until the wedding to send... I don't want them to think we forgot about them.

I try to send out thank you's asap. I just feel rude if I don't.

We got a few early gifts. I called the people to give them a verbal thank you at the time. I will also send them our thank you cards when we get them.

I sent out thank yous as we received gifts before the wedding.
Me too. I used generic thank you cards for all gifts received before the wedding (these went out almost immediately after receiving the gifts) and sent photo thank yous after the wedding.
You should not use your monogram until after you are married.

Re: Brides that got early wedding presents
we sent out thank yous to the gifts we got already. like bridal shower gifts, we sent thank yous within two weeks.
i also wanted to cash some checks, so we sent out the thank yous first on nice blank stationery cards, then cashed the checks.
