The only song I am using a cd for is our first dance. The song is 'How Deep Is The Ocean' and we chose it because we both LOVE Etta James so naturally we need her voice to sing it. When I told my band that they werent thrilled but he understood. DEFINITELY use the band for the entrance songs. A band is a big expense and should be used for everything..or at least as much as possible....they may even give you a hard time about playing a cd. May I ask who you are using?

i'm paying lots of money for a band..they will play everything I tell them to!! lolol I have faith in them b/c they are such talented people and they can sound just like anyone!

songs from a CD - the first time the band is playing (besides cocktail hour music) is when we dance our first dance

The band is playing. They did tell me that they usually play instrumental versions of songs for entrances, though, since the announcer is also the singer - even if he wasn't, it'd be hard to hear the announcer if someone was singing. So we are looking for very recognizable songs or ones that are just instrumental .... i hope to use a zz top song.
