We are interested in getting married outdoors at a park in Medford.

Who did you contact to find out wether you needed a permit? I Have no idea where to begin

Medford is town of Brookhaven right? I would call their parks department. I'm sure you can find their number on their website. You can do that with whichever town it's in. HTH
