How long did your DOC stay/will stay with you? Do they stay to the CH or beyond that? Girls who are already married and had a DOC, is the DOC necessary beyond the CH?

Re: Brides who had/are having DOCs
My DOC arrived while I was getting hair and makeup done, probably around noon- 12:30 PM. She stayed until the end of the reception. I think it is necessary to have the DOC stay, especially if the DOC is going to tip. It's nice to know you have an extra set of eyes looking out for things, etc. For example, the DOC can avert any dinner problems, parent dance problems, etc.

Re: Brides who had/are having DOCs
I spoke with mine on the phone at 8:30-9:00 AM the morning of. She went straight to my ceremony site to set up chairs for the guests to sit in, and then came to me.
She drove DH & I from the Country Gardens @ East Wind over to the Inn @ East Wind where we spent our wedding night. AT the Inn she helped us carry in stuff, and then told DH to pick me up to carry me into the room and said 'this is where I leave you'. By that time, the reception had been over for an hour.
